- I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with a specialty in Addiction Treatment. I currently work with Inner Child Resolution, Perinatal Mood disorders, Anxiety, and Adult ADHD. I was in the direct service of in-patient drug treatment by providing therapy to all levels of care (LOC) from detox to IOP. My knowledge in this field allowed me to provide relevant therapy for those affected by someone else’s chemical addiction as well as those with non-chemical addictions. I provide teletherapy via online sessions.
- I have worked with clients impacted by addiction and it’s offspring of codependency in domestic violence shelters (3), the LGBT Center in Los Angeles, and Court-ordered clinics. I have also taught Parenting, Child Abuse Intervention and Batterers’ Intervention classes. My first graduate degree is in Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica. Doing my own foundational work as a “spiritual being having a human experience ” set my understanding of the obstacles in the human experience. I graduated from Argosy University and expanded my knowledge and experience through years of focused internship. Now, licensed and on a panel with colleagues in the addiction field, we provide psycho educational instruction as an adjunct to the graduate program of different colleges. Our first topic in two parts is “Drug Treatment Overview”.
- I work actively with my clients providing different analogies to assist in the deconstruction of obstacles to manageable portions. One fact stands above all that I learned in both graduate programs-it is not the model or methods I use with client that evoke a successful outcome. It is my lack of judgment about the issues of my clients since healing cannot take place in an atmosphere of judgment.
