- I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and psychotherapist with specializations in anxiety, trauma, and depression. My main theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Hypnotherapy/Guided Imagery, although I do draw from other approaches according to the needs of the client and circumstances. I currently provide individual, couple, child, and family therapy in Anaheim, California.
- I have practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My practice has included the elementary school setting, providing counseling services for elementary students who experienced behavioral issues, personal problems, or difficulties with academics. In addition, I’ve been able to help students K-12 reduce school stress and regain balance in their lives, improving both home and school satisfaction. And finally, I have worked with special needs students and students with autism and their families using behavioral and family systems therapies. I have helped all of these clients and families greatly improve their social and academic performance, and quality of family life.
- With couples, I draw from Gottman and EFT (emotionally focused therapy) approaches, in addition to the previously-mentioned approaches. I have had good success with couples regaining their connection and renewing their hope and commitment to their relationships.
- I have also provided psychotherapy to aging adults and their families for depression and caregiving issues. As a previous caregiver myself for several years for family and for private clients, I have a unique insider’s perspective on the needs of these clients and their families. I have been privileged to help these clients and families build support teams and regain a sense of balance and health for all concerned.
- I truly enjoy working with my clients and seeing them thrive and improve in many areas. Seeing my clients’ regain overall health and joy for their lives is my greatest satisfaction.
